How do I use it?
Three simple steps:
- Place the insert. Slide the absorbent insert into the pocket at the back of the diaper. Push it all the way in and lay it flat β a bunched insert is the most common cause of leaks.
- Add the liner. Place a disposable liner on the soft inner surface, centered. This is what makes cleanup effortless β solids land on the liner, and you simply lift it out and bin it.
- Adjust the size. Use the front snaps to set the length β fasten the lower rows of buttons for newborns and younger babies, and leave them open as your baby grows. Fasten the waist snaps, then check that the leg elastics sit in your baby's leg creases with no gaps. Finish with the two-finger test at both the waist and the legs: two fingers should slide in easily, so the fit is neither too tight nor too loose.
That is it. Newborn to toddler, one diaper.
How do I wash it?
- Remove the disposable liner and throw it in the waste bin.
- Take the absorbent insert out of the diaper pocket.
- Rinse the diaper and insert with clean water to remove any residue.
- Wash separately, or together with other cloth diapers, using a mild detergent.
- Do not use bleach, fabric softener or harsh chemicals.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent.
- Dry in the sun wherever you can. Sunlight naturally lifts stains and keeps everything fresh. Otherwise, air-dry completely.
- Make sure the diaper and insert are fully dry before storing or reusing them.
Wash every 2β3 days. In between washes, keep used diapers in an open, breathable bucket β never soaking in water. Both of these keep smells away.
Wash before first use for the best absorbency.
Never use bleach or fabric softener. Softener coats the fibres and permanently ruins absorbency β it is the one thing that can genuinely damage your diaper.
Do I need to wash it before the first use?
Yes, we recommend it. A brand-new insert does not absorb properly straight from the factory β the fibres need one wash to open up.
How many washes will it last?
Up to 300 washes with proper care. That is years of use from a single diaper β and the reason buying once genuinely replaces thousands of
disposables.
How many pees can it hold?
Around 2β3 pees, which works out to roughly 3 hours of daytime wear.
Every baby is different, so heavy wetters may need changing a little sooner.
What about night-time or long journeys?
Every Tiny Nest diaper comes with its own absorbent insert, which is designed for regular daytime wear.
For night-time or long journeys, add
our booster insert β it layers in alongside the regular insert for extra absorbency that comfortably carries your baby through the night or a long car ride.
Will it handle poop?
Yes β and this is where the disposable liner earns its place. The liner sits on the inner surface, so solids land on it rather than on the
diaper. You lift the liner out, bin it, and the diaper underneath stays clean.
No scrubbing. No mess. No stress.
Will it leak?
With the insert laid flat, the snaps adjusted correctly for your babyβs size, and no gaps at the legs, Tiny Nest holds comfortably through naps and playtime.
If you ever do get a leak, it is almost always one of those three things β check them in that order and you will solve it.
Does one size really fit my baby?
Yes. Tiny Nest is one size, fully adjustable. The front snaps set the length, so the same diaper fits your baby from newborn through to
around two years β no buying up a size, and no half-used packets.
Product dimensions: 18 Γ 3 Γ 16 cm
For the right fit, fasten the waist so two fingers slide in easily, and make sure the leg elastics sit in your babyβs leg creases with
no gaps.
What is included with each diaper?
Each Tiny Nest diaper comes with one absorbent insert.
Disposable liners and booster inserts are available separately.
How many do I need?
Most parents start with 2β3 and build from there. For part-time use, 3 is a comfortable rotation.
For full-time cloth diapering, 6β8 keeps you comfortably ahead of the wash cycle.
Is it safe for my babyβs skin?
Our diapers are made from soft, breathable cotton with no harsh chemicals. Many parents find them gentler than disposables, particularly for babies prone to redness.
If your baby develops any reaction, stop use and speak to your doctor.
